Website Intelligence Guide: Map, Audit, and Analyze Any Site With AI
# Website Intelligence Guide: Map, Audit, and Analyze Any Site With AI
Understanding a website — yours or a competitor's — used to require a stack of separate tools: one for backlinks, another for crawling, a third for SEO audits, and manual effort to tie it all together. Vincony's Website Intelligence and Site Mapper tools collapse that workflow into a single URL input. This guide walks through both tools, when to use each, and how to get the most from the results.
What You Can Do With These Tools
Before diving into the how-to, here are the common use cases that make these tools valuable day-to-day:
- Competitor analysis — understand a rival's content strategy, brand identity, link profile, and positioning without buying enterprise SEO software
- Site audits — catch weak title tags, thin meta descriptions, poor heading structure, and broken backlinks on your own domain before they hurt rankings
- Content gap research — see what topics a site covers (and emphasizes) so you can identify angles they've missed
- Site migration prep — use Site Mapper to export a full URL inventory before moving platforms, so nothing falls through the cracks
- Client onboarding — generate a structured briefing on a new client's web presence in under two minutes
Both tools live under your Vincony workspace and cost only a few credits per run, making them practical for regular use rather than occasional research sprints.

Tool 1: Website Intelligence (/os/website-intel)
Website Intelligence is the deeper of the two tools. Paste any URL and it runs three parallel operations: it scrapes the full page content via Firecrawl, fetches real backlink data from DataForSEO, and passes everything through an AI model to produce a structured intelligence report. The whole process typically completes in 20–40 seconds depending on site size.
Cost: 4 credits per analysis (2 for scraping plus AI, 2 for backlinks). Free plan users can try it with their starter credit balance; Starter, Pro, Power, and Business plans all include monthly credit allowances sized for regular use. See pricing for plan details.
What the Report Covers
Results are organized into five tabs so you can navigate directly to what matters:
Summary — An executive overview of what the site does, who it targets, and its value proposition. Also shows the live SERP preview: exactly how the page appears in Google search results, including title tag and meta description. This is often the quickest way to spot an optimization opportunity.
Brand — Extracted color palette with one-click hex copying, detected fonts, and logo if available. Useful for competitor brand research or checking your own visual consistency across pages.
Backlinks — Real data from DataForSEO showing total backlink count, referring domains, main referring domains, domain rank, broken backlinks, nofollow domain ratio, and spam score. These are the same signals that professional SEO tools surface, pulled live at the time of your analysis.
SEO — The AI-generated audit covering title tag quality, meta description effectiveness, content structure (heading hierarchy, paragraph length), internal and external link analysis, and prioritized recommendations.
Insights — Competitive intelligence: key topics covered, tone and voice, unique selling points identified, content gaps and opportunities, market positioning signals, technology stack hints, and pricing strategy if visible on the page.
Follow-Up Questions
After the initial analysis, a follow-up field appears at the bottom of the results. Type any question and the AI answers using the full page content as context — at 2 credits per question. Examples:
- "What's their pricing strategy?"
- "What keywords does this page appear to target?"
- "How does their tone compare to a B2B SaaS standard?"
Follow-up answers are appended to the SEO tab so the complete session stays in one place.
Export and Share Options
The action bar above the results gives you Copy (plain text report), PDF (full rendered export), and Share (a formatted clipboard snapshot ready to paste into Slack or email). The Export dropdown connects to Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion, Google Docs, OneDrive, and Gmail/Outlook via your connected apps.

Tool 2: Site Mapper (/os/site-mapper)
Site Mapper solves a different problem: discovering every URL on a website up to 5,000 pages, instantly. Where Website Intelligence goes deep on a single page, Site Mapper goes wide across an entire domain.
Cost: 1 credit per crawl. All paid plans include enough credits to map sites regularly without thinking about it.
Running a Map
Paste any URL, optionally toggle Include subdomains (captures pages on blog.example.com, docs.example.com, etc.), and click Map Site. Results appear in seconds for smaller sites or within a minute for larger ones.
Reading the Results
The summary bar at the top shows four instant stats: total URLs found, number of unique domains (relevant if subdomains are included), maximum crawl depth, and the most-populated top-level path. Below that:
- Depth breakdown — badge chips showing how many URLs sit at each depth level (L0, L1, L2, etc.), useful for spotting unusually deep site architecture
- File type breakdown — distribution across HTML pages, PDFs, images, and other asset types; click any chip to filter the list to that type
- Path groups — the top 12 path prefixes by page count (/blog, /products, /docs, etc.); click any to instantly filter the URL list
The URL list itself supports filtering by keyword, sorting (A–Z, Z–A, shortest first, longest first), and a toggle between List view and Tree view. Tree view renders the full site hierarchy as a collapsible directory tree — invaluable for understanding information architecture at a glance.
Select individual URLs or use Select all to build a subset, then export only that selection.
Export Formats
- Copy All / Copy Selected — plain text list, one URL per line
- CSV — downloaded as sitemap-export.csv, ready for spreadsheets or bulk processing
- XML — a standards-compliant sitemap.xml you can submit directly to Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools
- Save to — Google Drive, Notion, Dropbox, Google Docs, and OneDrive via your connected integrations

Step-by-Step: Competitor Analysis Workflow
Here is a practical workflow combining both tools for a full competitor audit.
- Go to Site Mapper and enter the competitor's root domain. Enable Include subdomains if they run a separate blog or docs subdomain.
- When results load, note the path groups. A site with 400 URLs under /blog and 80 under /products is content-heavy; one with 600 under /products and 20 under /blog is product-focused. This tells you their growth strategy.
- Export the URL list as CSV. Filter to their blog or resources path and count topics — this is your baseline for content gap analysis.
- Switch to Website Intelligence and enter their homepage URL.
- Check the Brand tab first — copy their hex colors and note their font stack. If you're in a competitive niche, brand differentiation starts here.
- Open the Backlinks tab. Note the domain rank and referring domain count. A low spam score with high referring domains from main domains signals an authoritative, clean link profile worth studying.
- Read the SEO tab for their title tag and meta description patterns. Strong competitors often have tightly optimized titles; weak ones leave this on autopilot.
- Read Insights for the AI's competitive intelligence summary. Use the follow-up field to ask targeted questions: "What content gaps exist on this site?" or "What topics do they cover superficially?"
- Repeat steps 4–8 on two or three of their strongest individual pages (use the URL list from Site Mapper to pick candidates).
A complete competitor profile using this workflow typically takes 15–20 minutes and costs under 20 credits.

- Use the canonical URL — analyze the homepage or a specific landing page rather than a blog post URL. Firecrawl scrapes what you give it; the more representative the page, the more useful the brand and SEO data.
- Re-run after major updates — the analysis is a point-in-time snapshot. If a competitor relaunches or you make significant site changes, run a fresh analysis rather than relying on history.
- Use analysis history — Website Intelligence saves your last 8 analyses locally. They appear as clickable cards below the URL input. Click any card to instantly re-run that domain.
- Combine with SEO tools — for keyword-level research, pair Website Intelligence results with Vincony's SEO and AI Search tools. The backlink and content data from Website Intel gives you context that keyword tools alone can't provide.
- Export everything early — if you're doing a site migration, run Site Mapper before and after. Diffing the two CSV exports immediately reveals any pages that failed to carry over.

Plan Considerations
Free plan users can run Website Intelligence analyses with their starting credit balance to evaluate the output quality before upgrading. Starter plan is sufficient for occasional competitor research and monthly self-audits. Pro and Power plans suit agencies or anyone running analyses across multiple clients or domains per week. Business plan includes higher credit limits and team workspace access so results can be shared without re-running. Visit pricing to compare.
